DescriptionThe new professor is expected to develop a highly innovative and internationally visible research program in the hardware and software design of intelligent embedded systems with machine learning capabilities. We are looking for applicants with a strong background in areas including computer-aided design of circuits and systems, hardware-software co-design, smart networked sensor, machine learning algorithms on dedicated hardware, internet-of-things (IoT), edge computing and edge AI. Successful candidates should be active in both software and hardware research, with an application-oriented vision. Research profiles capable of establishing clear links with existing activities in analog/digital circuit design, (wireless) communication, information processing, computer networks, robotics, and control theory in the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering and at ETH Zurich are particularly welcomed. | |
RequirementsThe successful candidate must be committed to innovative and engaging teaching. She or he should be interested in teaching classes in the various areas of embedded systems. At ETH Zurich, undergraduate level courses are taught in German or English and graduate level courses in English. The ability to lead a research group is expected.
