For plant enthusiasts and inquisitive botanists alike, the 5th Fascination of Plants Day, which will take place on 18 May 2019, will open the door to numerous events organized in France and all over the world.
The 5th Fascination of Plants Day will take place on 18 May 2019. It provides a wonderful opportunity to create a bond between the public and the plant world, with numerous events the world over throughout the month of May. Under the auspices of the European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO) and in partnership with INRA, coordinator of the event in France, the Fascination of Plants Day is aimed at promoting the importance of plants in our daily lives and research conducted in the field of plants. Plants are the largest producers of biomass in the world and are essential for food (human and animal), health, energy production and are the used for numerous purposes (construction for example).
Workshops, lab visits, lectures and other meetings with researchers and plant enthusiasts... there will be something for everyone! All those interested are welcome, including students and media involved in one way or another in agricultural research, environment conservation, biodiversity or education. This year, INRA and its partners will be involved in different events organized in Angers, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles, and in Petit-Bourg in Guadeloupe in the French West Indies.
Entry is free or on registration, depending on the events.
