The Cité de l’innovation et des savoirs Aix Marseille (CISAM) is a space dedicated to innovation in the Aix-Marseille region. It accelerates exchanges between the scientific, academic, socio-economic, cultural and associative worlds. To this end, it is launching a call for expressions of interest for its 9th "CISAM Innovation Rendezvous", on the theme of "Biomimicry: towards an innovative transition for architecture, heritage and territories".
This 9th CISAM Innovation Rendezvous focuses on biomimicry in its various facets and technological approaches, but is also very interested in organizational and communication strategies based on the living world, to make organizations work more effectively. This approach is necessary to the transformation of our societies, for the answers expected on how nature can impact our territories: reinforcing their attractiveness, managing our natural and cultural heritage, transforming professions, accompanying the energy and ecological transition, and promoting accessibility to research and scientific and societal innovations.
This 9th edition is in partnership with :
- Rougerie + Tangram. The architecture, urban planning and landscape design company (based in Paris and Marseille) and its Lab dedicated to research and innovation are particularly focused on the design, including in marine and underwater areas, of built environments that are resilient to global warming and regenerative of biodiversity.
- It is in partnership with Novachim. The network of companies and laboratories in the "Chemistry and Materials" sector in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, which supports them in their innovation projects and in their professional training, with its regulatory expertise, but also its social assistants at companies.
This Innovation Rendezvous is part of a key year for biomimicry in the south of France, marked in particular by Marseille’s hosting of the 9th Biomim’Expo trade show (September 12-13 at the Palais du Pharo). Initiatives may be highlighted in the show’s communications.

The traditional format of the RdV Innovation is a 10-minute pitch session, followed by a cocktail reception (lunch or dinner). It can be adapted according to the proposals received and retained by the jury, with the inclusion of 40-minute round tables, posters, etc. Proposals are therefore free.
A jury will examine the proposals and select the winners.
Any person (academic, scientific, socio-economic, associative, cultural, etc.) may submit a project. Successful applications will be presented, highlighting their context, the problem posed, and the solution developed (advantages and areas of application). Structures (e.g. funding agencies) will be able to highlight their services or target audiences, their support and eligibility criteria, and the place of partnership with research in their programs and initiatives.
