European Researchers’ Night 2022: Time for the unexpected

      -      FR  -  EN
At the Dock des Suds, researchers and residents are invited to experience an unexpected evening. Here, no incomprehensible lectures or unreadable graphs, but an original way to discover subjects and ways of doing research on a daily basis. The event includes: games, conferences in the dark, movies, one-on-one encounters, a radio show, an escape game and many other experiences.

The European Researchers’ Night is back in Marseille for its 7th edition. This year the event, which takes place simultaneously in more than 300 European cities , will explore the theme of "the unexpected".

In a Dock des Suds transformed with the help of Marseilles scenographers , this cultural venue will plunge the curious into a universe suitable to daydreaming and to the meeting of many research subjects, from various fields, each as exciting as the other: archaeology, neurosciences, chemistry, oceanography, artificial intelligence, literature and many others.

During an astonishing journey in the footsteps of Ulysses , an epic story is to be experienced, made up of encounters with subjects and experiments : a discussion with a talking head , making holograms , juggling with onomatopoeia or an archaeological dig in a potter’s workshop.

The European Commission has been supporting the European Researchers’ Night since 2005 and encourages research careers in Europe.
