This second issue of Mutations en Méditerranée explores the transformations of Mediterranean agricultural spaces through the emblematic triad of wheat, vine and olive. These crops are thus relevant entry points for examining changes in agricultural practices and the collective representations linked to these products, taking into account the land, economic and symbolic issues that accompany them. Through a cross-analysis of different spatial and temporal scales, the articles explore the shifting links between territory and society, where these products play the role of witnesses to the mutations of the Mediterranean rural world.

Mutations en Méditerranée is an open-access digital journal, supported by the SoMuM Institute with its first two issues, then by MESOPOLHIS from its third issue onwards. Its editorial board, made up of doctoral students from a variety of humanities and social sciences disciplines, offers young researchers a publication space and a unique opportunity to learn about scientific publishing through practice.
