PhD position in synthesis and evaluation of 5-ALA derivatives

Based on recent observations with novel 5-ALA derivatives designed in our laboratory, the aim of the PhD project is to further improve these compounds with respect to their systemic delivery. The project consists of the synthesis, in vitro, and in vivo evaluation of novel compounds in collaboration with senior scientists in our laboratory

MSc in bio/chemical engineering, organic chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline. The candidate will be expected to learn new techniques and develop new avenues of research. The successful candidate should have a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, peptide synthesis and polymer synthesis. The knowledge in different labeling techniques will be an asset. The ability to conduct independent research and excellent communication skills are essential.

The PhD student will have a position of part-time assistant He/she will participate to training and teaching for undergraduate students.
