The UPMC Foundation and AXA Insurance Launch a Chair for Alzheimer’s Resea

The UPMC Foundation and the AXA insurance company have officially launched the Chair for research on Alzheimer's Disease on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014.

The Chair holder is Professor Harald Hampel, Professor at Pierre and Marie Curie University, Department of Neurology, the Institute of Memory and Alzheimer's disease (at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris).
The professor will present his academic program to identify Alzheimer's disease from the asymptomatic stage through the use of biomarkers. This chair was inaugurated through the largest grant ever received by UPMC to date from AXA Research Fund.
Olivier de la Doucette, gerontologist psychiatrist and president of the Foundation for Research on Alzheimer's, Bruno Dubois, professor of neurology and director of the Institute for Memory and Alzheimer's and Nicolas Moreau, CEO of AXA, were also present at the inauguration.
