Christina Papastamati Von-Moock is an archaeologist at the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. She pursued undergraduate studies in Prehistoric, Classical and Byzantine Archaeology, History and Classical Philology at the University of Ioannina, Greece, and postgraduate studies at both the Institute of Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, at the University of Vienna, Austria; and at the Archaeological Institute at the University of Munich, Germany. She obtained a PhD with her thesis entitled: "Die Frühgeschichte des Zeus-Heiligtums von Dodona im Spiegel der Metallweihgaben" [The early history of the Sanctuary of Zeus at Dodona through metal votive offerings], University of Vienna, Austria.

As part of her collaboration with HiSoMA, Christina will provide expertise on the archaeological site of the Theater of Dionysus in Athens, a central site for the study of Greek theater, as well as on the evolution of theater architecture in Greece from Classical to Roman times. Christina Papastamati Von-Moock’s invitation is also part of the KINSPECTA program, (’KINesic engagement and experience of SPECTAtors from Antiquity to the present’) led by Anne-Sophie Noel and funded by the IUF as part of a junior chair. This Her visit is valuable for both the research team and the students who will profit from her expertise.
