DRI U7+ 2024 Presidential Summit

Members of U7+, the international alliance of universities of which Aix-Marseille Université is a member, gathered at Bocconi University for their annual summit. On this occasion, representatives of member universities drafted a declaration urging G7 leaders to work together to remove barriers and improve access to education worldwide.

In a time of rapidly changing and increasingly unstable geopolitics, the members of the U7+ Alliance of World Universities are working together to address challenges related to access to education, in order to strengthen networks and continue to build global capacity to address some of society’s most pressing problems.

As the G7 prepares to convene in Apulia, Italy, more than 80 university leaders from 18 countries met at Bocconi University this week for the U7+ Presidential Summit and called on G7 leaders to work with them to support increased global access to higher education as a means of enhancing inclusion, building the next generation of leaders, and contributing to stable, flourishing societies.
