Event DIRCOM European networking event - Marine sciences

A European networking event focusing on marine sciences will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday December 4, 2024, on the Aix-Marseille site.

Organized by the European Ocean Research and Education Alliance ( EOREA ) and Mission Europe pour la Recherche , this event will bring together researchers from the alliance and its partners to exchange information and prepare for the submission of collaborative projects in the field of marine sciences.

Workshops will be led by European and site coordinators to present the European projects they plan to submit in 2025, and provide an opportunity to exchange ideas with them and, if appropriate, take part in the projects!

The EOREA alliance

EOREA is an alliance of 14 renowned universities and research centers in the field of marine and maritime sciences. Aix Marseille Université (amU) is a co-coordinator of this network, along with Norway’s NTNU University.

The aim of the 14 founding institutions is to pool their expertise and infrastructures to advance research and education in oceanography, on a continental scale.

The Collaborative Research and Education Programs (CREPs) developed within the EOREA alliance aim to strengthen scientific and educational cooperation between the participating institutions. There are four of these joint programs: Aquaculture, Biodiversityand Ecosystems (coordinated by amU), Maritime Transport and Robotics and New Sensors.
