On December 14, President Éric Berton held the WE4LEAD Project Launch Conference and Charter Signing at the Pharo, confirming Aix-Marseille Université’s ever-stronger commitment to gender equality.
The ambition and unique, innovative role that the WE4LEAD CBHE ERASMUS+ project , co-funded by the European Union, has to play in transforming the governance of partner universities also involves training. Isabelle Régner, Aix-Marseille Université’s Vice-President for Gender Equality and the Fight against Discrimination, is coordinating the project in collaboration with the Lebanese University, co-sponsor of the Work package Formations. In January 2024, she trained some thirty future trainers from partner universities (Lebanese University and Université Antonine - UA (Lebanon), Sapienza Università di Roma (Italy), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), Université de Constantine3 (Algeria), Université de Tunis El Manar and Université de Sousse (Tunisia)). Training in implicit gender bias represents a concrete tool developed within the WE4LEAD project for these trainers, who will in turn work in their universities.
