Launch of Amidex’s call for innovation projects

- FR- EN

Open on an ongoing basis, this call aims to support the emergence and premature development of innovative PUI Provence projects originating in academic laboratories. By providing financial support and assistance for the early stages of development of these projects, in order to facilitate their transfer to industry or the creation of deeptech companies, it is in line with the dynamics of the structuring actions of Amidex, and complements the France 2030 projects in favor of innovation.

Amidex’scall for innovation projects is part of a national and regional context that is particularly favorable to the development of research and innovation. As a driver of competitiveness, innovation is supported by ambitious strategies, notably at national level by the National Innovation Acceleration Strategies (SNA), and at regional level by the economic and scientific dynamism of the Provence University Innovation Cluster (PUI Provence).

Call

à Encourage project leaders to apply to national innovation funding schemes, while offering them a new funding opportunity in the event of non-selection , subject to a national evaluation that must be at least very good or even excellent. Support the roll-out of promising projects, by funding applications that have been well evaluated but not selected by the following schemes:
- Comités d’engagement des consortia Prématuration-Maturation France 2030 - Prématuration CNRS Innovation, - CoPoC Inserm.

à Enhance the coordination and visibility of innovation initiatives by strengthening coordination between the founding members and partners of PUI Provence, as well as their links with the site’s structuring projects such as CISAM+ and Marseille Immunology Biocluster (MIB).

Target groups

à Applications to the Innovation call for projects must be submitted by a researcher, teacher-researcher or research engineer attached to a research unit on the Aix-Marseille site.
This project leader is designated as the project’s Scientific and Technical Manager, and is responsible for its academic coordination.

Typology of projects supported

The Innovation call for projects supports initiatives with high potential for technology transfer and socio-economic impact. They must also demonstrate a potential impact on economic and social development.

à Candidate projects must have a transfer-to-industry rationale and benefit from the support of a Technology Transfer Organization (TTO).

à ). The identification and protection of this asset must be anticipated in order to maximize transfer opportunities.

à Projects submitted must meet the following conditions:

  • Technological maturity level (TRL): Project in TRL 1 or 2 at start-up, with an objective of TRL 3 at the end of the project.
  • Intellectual property (IP): A prospect of valorization of an IP asset must be envisaged.
  • Market needs:
  • Projects already evaluated: Projects that have already been evaluated but not selected by a national prematuration support scheme (Prématuration CNRS Innovation, CoPoC Inserm, commitment committee of one of the Prématuration-Maturation France 2030 consortia) can be submitted within this framework.

(timetable, evaluation criteria, selection process, etc.)

.Information meeting

A webinar dedicated to the call for proposals will be held on Tuesday July 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the presence of the Amidex team, SATT Sud-Est, CNRS Innovation and Inserm Transfert.
