Un Prétexte and Cosquer Méditerranée are working together to mark the European Archaeology Days, and this Saturday June 14 we’re bringing you a day on the theme of prehistory. 2 sessions: all-day events in the gallery on archaeology, and from 1pm to 3pm a conference on "Life in Prehistory: creating, adapting and living". 2 speakers, Mr. Frédéric Leroy, Deputy Director of DRASSM and Mr. Florent Chateauneuf, CNRS, INRAP, LAMPEA.
On Saturday, June 14 , for the European Archaeology Days, the association Un Prétexte is hosting a free event at Cosquer Méditerranée for the general public on life in prehistory.

A conference from 1pm to 3pm, La vie à la préhistoire, créer, s’adapter et vivre (80 places) with:
- Florent Châteauneuf - INRAP, CNRS, LAMPEA - Nos ancêtres préhistoriques : entre mythes et réalités
- Frédéric Leroy - directeur adjoint du DRASSM - Paléopaysage et bathymétrie au large des Calanques
These talks explore the sometimes erroneous images circulating around prehistoric society and landscapes. They will show how our ancestors developed tools, art and complex social structures to adapt to varied environments from the earliest times of prehistory. Archaeological discoveries demonstrate the reality of societies marked by hierarchies, conflicts and technical progress.
Workshops and stands on archaeology, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the museum’s main gallery (free upon registration at the conference):
