Research Training School - Migrations and Circulations of Ideas, Knowledge and Norms in Africa (November 28 to December 3, 2022)
In the framework of LMI Movida, the Observatory, for its 5th year of intra-African research on migration and mobility, is organizing a research training school on the issue of migration and knowledge mobility, from Monday, November 28 to Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the University Ibn Zohr in Agadir.
In collaboration with: the Faculty of Languages, Arts and Humanities of the University Ibn Zohr of Agadir, the Regional Observatory of Migrations, Spaces and Society (ORMES) of the University Ibn Zohr of Agadir, the Center For Global Studies of the International University of Rabat (UIR), the Institute Societies in Mutation in the Mediterranean (SoMuM) of Aix-Marseille University and the Regional Commission of Human Rights (CRDH) of Souss-Massa.
Beyond a classic doctoral school around a central theme which will be the mobility of knowledge, ideas and norms in Africa with conferences and doctoral workshops, researchers, journalists and activists will reflect together on the question of the manufacture and dissemination of knowledge: what types of writing for what science? In order to explore a means of dissemination, policy brief workshops will be open to students and researchers.
This research training school is part of the Mediterranean Studies doctoral program of the Institute for Changing Societies in the Mediterranean (SoMuM).
Conditions of participation
This training school is intended to welcome master and doctoral students, researchers, teacher-researchers, journalists, institutional actors or members of national and international NGOs who work on migration issues, especially from, to and through Africa. It is expected to bring together at the University Ibn Zohrd of Agadir (Morocco) about forty participants.
